Busy getting ready to carve at Fritton Owl Sanctuary over Easter weekend.

Come down and watch me work, I will also have some chainsaw carvings to buy. You can also pick up something for the garden from the plant centre next door and then take the children to visit the owls at Fritton Owl Sanctuary. Entry is free but donations are always welcome.

Gressenhall Farm & Workhouse – Apple Day

Apple Day!

Join us on Sunday 20 October from 10am to 5pm for a wonderful day, commemorating that most versatile of fruit – the apple!

Bring your mystery apples to be identified by experts from the East of England Apples and Orchards Project. Taste an array of apples along with freshly pressed juice, and sip cider made by local producers.

Join in with Gressenhall favourites, including workhouse boardroom enactments and Victorian school lessons. Meet the steam-up team as they run our magnificent stationary boiler and watch steam threshing down on the farm.

Browse stalls for local produce and see craftspeople at work – including Luke Chapman, who carves amazing wooden sculptures using a chainsaw!

Relax to live music from acoustic folk duo Woodland Creatures and be entertained by the Fiddlesticks clog dancing group, accompanied by their traditional band.
